2027: ADC Chieftain, Eze Appeals For Patience, Understanding, As Amaechi Intensifies Campaign Preparations

“….This struggle for a better Nigeria and to save our country’s democracy cannot be carried by the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates alone.

“The battle to send President Bola Tinubu back to Lagos, requires the collective effort of all patriotic Nigerians, and not necessarily about campaign positions and appointments, Eze said….”

Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has urged party stakeholders, loyalists and supporters to be patient with the ADC Vice Presidential candidate, Rt. Hon. (Barr) Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (CRA), ahead of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Chief Eze, in a statement on Friday, said the appeal became necessary following a surge in requests for personal meetings, calls, and appointments with the Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress.

“I have been inundated with series of text messages and calls asking for a meeting with the ADC Vice Presidential candidate, Rt. Hon. Barr. CRA.

“I wish to plead we give him a little respite as he is under severe pressure to put things in place for us to have an easy sail to Aso Rock, come 2027.

“Barr. Amaechi works for 24hours and can only sleep for two hours 2am-4am, and having time to eat has become an issue for him by this period.

“He is not ignoring anybody’s calls or text messages, only that the time to read messages these days is very difficult for him.

“I wish to appeal to all party members, stakeholders, loyalists and well wishers for understanding and patience at this critical stage of our campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election, Chief Eze stated.

Eze hinted that the ADC Vice Presidential standard bearer is presently engaged in a tight schedule of strategic meetings and consultations with key stakeholders, including the ADC Presidential candidate, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

“Barr. Amaechi’s intense itinerary are part of concerted efforts to lay a solid foundation for a successful outing at the 2027 general elections, Eze said.

Eze, explained that Amaechi’s commitment to the Herculean task of liberating Nigerians from the grip of undemocratic forces and despots has left him with very limited time for individual correspondence.

“I reiterate with every sense of humility, respect and patriotism that our Vice Presidential candidate’s silence should not be mistaken for neglect.

“His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Barr) Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi remains fully aware of and grateful for the messages and calls he has received, and has assured that he will respond to all outstanding requests as soon as circumstances permit” the ADC Chieftain clarified.

On membership of the campaign team or appointments, Chief Eze, explained that the project at hand is a Presidential national movement, and not a state-level campaign organization.

Therefore, Eze, a close ally of the Atiku-Amaechi join ticket assured that composition of the AA campaign team will reflect the views and recommendations of stakeholders from across all States, and will be based strictly on merit.

“All members and supporters are encouraged not to wait for formal appointment before contributing.

“We urge Nigerians who believe in this movement to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to consider themselves active members of the campaign” Eze stated.

Eze, a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), advised party supporters and loyalists to form local mobilization teams, and begin grassroots engagement in their respective communities.

“This struggle for a better Nigeria and to save our country’s democracy cannot be carried by the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates alone.

“The battle to send President Bola Tinubu back to Lagos, requires the collective effort of all patriotic Nigerians, and not necessarily about campaign positions and appointments, Eze said.

While thanking Nigerians for their continued support and understanding, the ADC Chieftain assured that at the appropriate time, Amaechi will have ample time for citizens of this country.
