In line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Yuletide celebration nationwide, the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has met with Area and Operational Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Heads of Tactical Units across the state.
The meeting focused on strengthening security measures during the festive period. CP Mohammed ordered relentless raids on identified flashpoints and criminal hideouts, intensified confidence-building patrols, and enhanced visibility policing throughout Nasarawa State to deter criminal activities.
He charged officers and men of the Command to discharge their duties with professionalism, discipline, and commitment, stressing the need to maintain public trust while ensuring the safety of residents during the Yuletide season.

The Commissioner of Police also reiterated the existing ban on the use, sale, and possession of knockouts and other explosive devices. He urged parents and guardians to caution their wards against engaging in such acts, warning that violators would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
The Nasarawa State Police Command reassured members of the public of its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the festive period.
