The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered the proactive and adequate deployment of Police operatives and vigilantees to identified areas bordering the FCT.
The deployment becomes necessary given the recent security issues being experienced and the need to be proactive and prevent the issues from escalating into the state.
A statement on Wednesday signed by the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said that the Commissioner of Police tasked Area Commanders New Karu, Keffi, and Nasarawa and all Divisional Police officers under them to mobilise their personnel and Vigilante, partner with the traditional rulers, Community leaders and sister security agencies to dominate the areas. He charges them to be civil to members of the public, as no laxity and unprofessional conduct shall be tolerated.
The Police Boss implores residents to be rest assured that the police command is working tirelessly to provide an impregnable security architecture in the state, and their safety is being looked after.
