The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, on Friday, December 26, 2025, personally led a confidence-building security patrol of mosques and recreational centres across the Abuja Metropolitan Area.
The patrol was carried out as part of ongoing efforts by the FCT Police Command to ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the festive period. By directly assessing security arrangements at key public locations, the Commissioner reaffirmed the Command’s proactive approach to crime prevention and public safety.

According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, the exercise is intended to complement existing security measures across the FCT, including visible patrols, intelligence-driven operations, and sustained collaboration with other security agencies.
These strategies are aimed at deterring criminal activities and maintaining a peaceful environment throughout the celebrations.
CP Dantawaye assured residents of the Command’s continued commitment to the protection of lives and property, while urging members of the public to remain vigilant and support police efforts by promptly reporting suspicious activities through the Command’s emergency channels.
