…Says Rebirth Of PDP, Big Blow To Tinubu’s One Party Agenda…Urges Saraki, Lamido, Jerry Gana to reject Wike as he Portends Danger To Nigeria’s Democracy
“….Finally, Eze commended the National Chairman of PDP, Kabiru Turaki, SAN for the steps he has taken so far in repositioning the party and urge him to liaise with the ADC leadership on how to join forces in order to ease out Tinubu before he turns the country into a one party State….”
Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) and currently a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for conducting a successful elective national convention in Ibadan, on November 15 and 16, 2025.
Eze noted with joy and enthusiasm that in spite of concerted efforts by anti democratic forces, politically insane and unscrupulous elements to frustrate the conduct of the exercise, genuine founding members and party leaders fought tooth and nail to ensure that the national convention held peacefully and as planned.
Eze, a founding member of the PDP right from 1998, stated that the conduct of the Ibadan national convention of the PDP was a victory towards sustenance of Nigeria’s, already threatened democracy and, a big blow to President Bola Tinubu’s grand plot to derail Nigeria’s democracy into a one-party state.
“I congratulate genuine leaders of PDP for the successful conduct of the Ibadan elective convention.
“In spite of the unpatriotic efforts of anti party forces and undemocratic elements led by Minister Nyesom Wike to thwart the convention, the will of God prevailed.
“Wike and his foot soldiers, apparently on a mission for the APC to annihilate the PDP and other opposition parties, forgot it was the same party that moulded and shaped their political portfolio and relevance in contemporary Nigeria.

“How will posterity look at Wike? Will history be kind and fair to Wike and his errand-boy, infantile loyalists as they work around the clock to bring down a party that made them what they are today? Certainly, the answer is capital NO” Eze stated.
Chief Eze was reacting on the conduct of the PDP national convention held in Ibadan, where the party in what many Nigerians described as “bold and timely” decision, expelled the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike and others from the PDP over anti-party activities.
In a statement released on Monday, the media mogul described the efforts by Wike and his fellow demonic elements to destroy the PDP for personal aggrandisement as “diabolic, unacceptable and unpatriotic”.
“Not minding that we are no longer members of the party we laboured to float, however, as a democrat and patriotic Nigerian, it will be stupid of me to stand aloof and allow evil forces to obliterate a party they didn’t know how it was formed, Eze stated.
“Therefore, I am fully in support of the expulsion of Wike, Ayo Fayose,
Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Umar Bature, Adeyemi Ajibade (SAN), Mohammed Abdulrahman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, Austine Nwachukwu, Abraham Amah, George Turner, and Chief Dan Orbih, for anti-party activities and fostering disunity with series of litigations against the interests of the party” Eze said.
He commended a chieftain of the PDP, Bode George, who moved the motion, which was seconded by Bauchi State PDP Chairman, for the expulsion of the 11 key members of the party, citing what he described as activities inconsistent with the PDP’s collective interest as reasons for the decisive action.
For issuing the expulsion certificates to former governors Nyesom Wike and Ayodele Fayose and nine others Eze described the exercise as truly a decisive move to sanitise its ranks ahead of the 2027 elections.
Eze commended Governor Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Governor Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Governor Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Governor Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Governor Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau) and the former PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum. The Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro; a former governor of Osun, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, his Gombe counterpart, Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo; and the Board of Trustees Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, Senator Ben Obi for taken this bold step to rescue PDP and democracy from the hands of terrible undemocratic elements parading themselves as Democrats
The Media czar, submitted that the recent PDP national convention is a perfect 2025 Christmas gift to Nigeria and Nigerians, particularly to late Dr Alex Ekweme, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Chief Tony Anenih, late Dr Alex Ekwueme, late Chief Solomon Lar, late Alhaji Abubakar Rimi, late Bola Ige, late Alhaji Adamu Ciroma amongst others who were all the foundation Fathers of PDP.
Most significantly, Chief Eze told Nigerians to be thankful to the current leadership of the PDP that defied all devilish plots, nefarious activities and unlawful grand design of Wike and the APC to exterminate the PDP.
“Wike used the PDP as a bargaining chip. After using the G-5 Governors to gain political traction in 2023 general election, he was rewarded by Tinubu with a juicy Ministerial portfolio.
“Ahead the 2027 general election, Wike wants to remain relevant in Tinubu’s political equation by ensuring he takes life out of PDP, Eze emphasised.
According to Eze, the success recorded at the Ibadan convention unsettled, rattled Wike and his co-undemocratic forces.
“They don’t want any strong opposition; they want to kill and bury PDP in the Mediterranean gulf, just to actualize President Tinubu’s grand plot of foisting a one party state on Nigerians.
“But I thank God, who in his infinite mercy, heard the supplications of Nigerians and ensured that the PDP National Convention held as scheduled despite legal impediments posed by some enemies of progress.
“The emergence of new national executive committee members signals rebirth of a new political order and PDP.
“Certainly, their selfish plot has failed and will continue to scatter like pack of cards. The resurgence of PDP has dealt a heavy blow on the Tinubu-led APC government’s frantic but subtle moves and heinous agenda to make Nigeria, a one-party State” Eze posited.
Eze reminded Wike and his hangers on that the PDP was formed in Nigeria on August 31, 1998 by a group of prominent individuals when a group of 34 political parties and organisations came together to float the PDP, which was seen as a unifying force for democracy and national development.
“The party that Wike, with his master, President Tinubu are hell-bent on destroying was formed by several prominent Nigerian politicians, including former military officers who had transitioned to civilian life.
Some of these great founding fathers include; Chief Tony Anenih, often referred to as “Mr Fix It” of Nigerian politics, former Vice President of Nigeria, late Dr Alex Ekwueme, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Prof Jerry Gana, late Chief Solomon Lar, late Alhaji Abubakar Rimi, the first democratic governor of Kano State and a charismatic politician who helped mobilise support for the PDP across northern Nigeria, the Late Bola Ige, Dr. Sule Lamido, late Alhaji Adamu Ciroma, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, former governor of Old Gongola (Adamawa) State, and a respected political elder who provided guidance and leadership during the PDP’s formative years amongst others.
Why commending Governor Makinde and other genuine PDP stakeholders for being masterminds of Wike’s expulsion from PDP, Chief Eze urged Prof Jerry Gana, Dr. Sule Lamido, Saraki and others to ignore Wike in his destructive plot against the party
More so, Eze described the mobilisation of miscreants by Wike’s group to the PDP national secretariat on November 18, 2025, as not only shameful but will cause the founding fathers of the party to quake and shed tears.
“The founding fathers of PDP, both living and dead will be nodding their heads and gnashing their teeth in utter disbelief that a man who climbed the rungs of PDP ladder to the top, that was placed by them, is now the same man destroying the party for selfish reasons, Chief Eze stated.
“If not out of sheer wickedness and high display of tyrannical traits, how could a man like Wike, having progressed under the PDP platform from being a Local Government Chairman; Chief of Staff to former Governor Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of State, Education; Rivers State Governor, and currently FCT Minister, now be the one that is working assiduously to nail the coffin of a party that brought him to political limelight, Eze wondered.
Eze noted that Wike’s description of PDP as a “dead party”, that should not present any presidential candidate come 2027, was “regrettable, reckless and typified him as a man who likes authority and always wants his words to be final irrespective of superior and sound reasoning from others.
However, Eze cautioned the PDP, other political parties and Nigerians to be mindful of Wike’s style of retrogressive politics, which he said “is dangerous and could derail Nigeria’s fledgling democracy”.
Conclusively, Chief Eze commended the Director of Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Dr Sam Amadi for giving a seal of approval to the PDP National Convention, as being legal despite conflicting orders of courts.
Dr Amadi, according to Eze, was right in his opinion that the confusion around the PDP leadership tussle was the result of INEC’s failure to act as a proper regulator and the courts issuing “contradictory and unnecessary” ex parte orders.
Therefore, Eze has called on the Judiciary and the INEC to be more independent and just, in the discharge of their statutory functions, not minding whose ox is gourd.
Finally, Eze commended the National Chairman of PDP, Kabiru Turaki, SAN for the steps he has taken so far in repositioning the party and urge him to liaise with the ADC leadership on how to join forces in order to ease out Tinubu before he turns the country into a one party State
