Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, says all is now set for the much anticipated 60th birthday anniversary of one of Rivers’s finest gentlemen, Barr. Osima Ginah, who would clock 60 on January 1, 2025.
In a statement made available to the media, the APC chief said January 1, is a day so remarkable in the annals of the human calendar, particularly to the people of Rivers State in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, not just because it starts off the year, but also on the footing that this day opened the door to the world for one of the illustrious sons from this part of the world; an asset to the human race—Barr. Osima Ginah.
As an inspirational leader, a dedicated public servant, and a devout Christian who has carved a niche for himself in his career path as a lawyer and public servant, Chief Eze said Ginah, has certainly earned himself a place in history, as his devotion towards the socio-economic and political advancement of Rivers State and Nigeria is public knowledge.
“January 1 is a date set aside to celebrate this iconoclast, master strategist, great mobiliser of men and resources, and astute politician, for his unconditional work, unfaltering effort, and immeasurable support for society and humanity.”
The APC chief noted that Osima is one of Rivers State’s political office holders who, during his stint in the Rivers State Executive Council as Commissioner in various capacities, took tough and strong decisions for the overall development of the state.
He said while at the helm of affairs in the Rivers State Ministry of Urban Development, Ginah faced stiff opposition and hash criticisms but as a visioneer, he stuck with his decisions because he knew they were, in the long run, for public good.
As a politician with a calm mind and clear vision, not a few are so proud to have Osima Ginah as a political leader, and this explains the reason society is celebrating his birth, which is certainly a moment of rejoicing, and sober reflection on the life and times of this rising political czar, philanthropist, and a quintessential statesman.
As part of activities marking his birth anniversary, Ginah’s close associates, family, and political followers have resolved to make the event epochal and memorable, as a way of appreciating the great feats he has achieved for Rivers State and the Kalabari Kingdom.
